ANNUAL YOUTH FORUM

REISA’s annual Youth Forum will be held in person on January 29th, 2024. This will be a great opportunity to network and discuss youth initiatives in the East and North of Montreal. The agenda and save-the-date information will follow shortly.

 

REISA MENTAL HEALTH FORUM 

REISA will host a virtual Mental Health Forum on February 28th, 2024. This forum will bring together partners from across Montreal to engage in discussions regarding mental health. More information to follow.

 

HEADSTRONG SUMMIT 
 

REISA, in partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada and the English Montreal School Board, has planned a virtual Headstrong summit taking place in March 2024. HEADSTRONG is a youth leadership initiative developed to champion mental wellness

Job Opportunity – Youth Network Coordinator

Youth Network Coordinator 

 

 

 

Position summary: 

 

REISA is seeking a Youth Network Coordinator to build partnerships with local youth organizations and employment service providers. Liaise with English schools and experts for the development of employability programs. Represent REISA at the various Tables jeunesse in the East and North end of Montreal. 

 

Primary responsibilities: 

 

  • Promote partnerships and best practice sharing with identified partners 
  • Seek membership and represent REISA at the Tables Jeunesse 
  • Organise focus groups to identify issues related to access to English services  
  • Produce relevant promotional documents for the target population 
  • Create and maintain statistical portraits on youth  
  • Research evidence-based youth programs  
  • Adapt available programs for youth in partnership with schools and local CJEs 
  • Produce performance reports according to funder’s requirements 

 

Qualifying skills and abilities 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Relations, Community Development or other relevant fields 
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years work experience  
  • French and English fluency 
  • Knowledge of the community sector 
  • Strong communication and writing skills 

 

Contract details: 

 

  • Start date: November 6th, 2023 
  • Competitive salary and full benefits 
  • Fulltime – 35 hours per week 
  • Hybrid – 2 days remote work-3 days Office presence  
  • Full medical and dental insurance with eligibility after 3 months 
  • Employer contribution to an RRSP group plan up to 5% of the annual salary

Centre of Dreams and Hopes – Upcoming Drama Therapy Sessions

👋 The Centre of Dreams and Hopes released their posters for upcoming fall programs in Drama therapy! Starting in September, children aged 6-9 year-old and adolescents between 12-16 years-old can participate in drama therapy groups.

Centre Action

👋 As the Centre Action mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for adults with physical disabilities, on Monday nights at 6 PM you can learn all about them through their zoom activities. Monday is invite a friend night! It is one of the many programs offered by Centre Action.
 
It is 25$ a year to become a member which provides access to all activities on zoom and the Action Centre’s in-person activities. Activities are bilingual.
 
The Summer program ends August 1st and the Fall program begins September 1st.

Centre Mosaïque de Quebec – Speech and Language Development Workshops

After a successful first collaboration with Centre Mosaïque de Québec there are 3 sessions left on various topics concerning language and speech development in young children. The sessions are 90 minutes each, free and offered in English. Register for the second session using the Zoom link below!
