Activity and Keeping Active Booklets for dementia patients and their caregivers

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it became necessary for the McGill School of Physical and Occupational Therapy to offer alternative clinical learning experiences for their students.

Graduate occupational therapy students Nicole Drinkwater, Emma Vadot, Madde MacDougall and Chrissy MacDonald developed an activity booklet for caregivers and their loved ones who are living with dementia, under the supervision of Marie-Eve Bolduc, Assistant Professor (Professional) at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy.

November 19th Update – Schools

                                                                Measure for schools and teaching establishments 

 

Elementary schools
– Closed between December 17th 2020 to January 3rd 2021.
– Remote teaching will be continued according to the academic calendar.

High-schools
– Closed between December 17th 2020 to January 10th 2021.
– Remote teaching will be continued according to the academic calendar.

Daycares services and after-school care
– Daycare services for children will stay open.
– Daycare services in schools will stay open for health care workers children, teachers and services deemed priority.

Remote work
It is suggested to companies to begin remote work as soon as possible and to limit their activities starting December 17th 2020.

November 19th Update

                                                                Measure for private gatherings during holidays

Private Gatherings – in effect only between December 24th to December 27th 2020.

– Possibility to participate in private gatherings
– Limit of 10 people.
– Respect 2 meter distance.
– Gatherings prohibited for those who have COVID-19 symptoms, are isolating or that have contracted the virus.
– No office parties are allowed.

Eveyone is invited to participate in a voluntary confinement one week before and one week after the authorized period for private gatherings.
