CARE Jeunesse: Program & Member Engagement Coordinator

Known in the community as CARE Jeunesse, the Centre Amitié, Ressources et Entraide pour la Jeunesse, is a provincial and bilingual organization dedicated to providing a community and a voice for youth in care and alumni of care, aged 18-30. We offer direct services to our members, such as emergency support, bursaries, workshops, social activities, and advocacy for the rights of care-experienced persons.
Your role:
- Managing all aspects of on-site programming (ex.weekly workshops, drop-in hours, evening and weekend social activities, etc.)
- Managing the organization’s day-to-day operating budget
- Obtaining and maintaining accurate information of membership and communicating regularly with members to better provide relevant services, resources and information
- Creating an environment where all members feel welcome, safe, and supported
- Managing and supporting the Outreach & Services Coordinator
- Supervising and managing the CJ youth advisory council (ex. developing agendas, facilitating meetings, maintaining engagement, etc.)
- Collaborating with CARE Jeunesse staff and board members
- Recruiting and managing program volunteers
- Networking with partner organizations and potential stakeholders
- Representing the organization in the community (ex. round tables, committees, conferences, etc.)
- Providing regular reports and updates to management, board members and donors
- Attending monthly board meetings and providing reports and updates
Preferred Education & Experience:
- A college or university degree, in a program-related to youth care, social work, community organization, or education
- 3 years work experience in the non-profit sector, with a youth, social or community focus
- 2+ years experience in program coordination particularly with youth who have experience care
- 1+ year experience supervising part-time staff and/or volunteers
- Strong written and spoken French and English skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Comfort using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and creating digital content (Canva, WIX)
*Priority consideration will be given to candidates who are care experienced
Position Details: This is a part-time, fixed term (1 year) position with the potential for extension. The Program & Member Engagement Coordinator is required to work onsite 3-4 days a week (21 hours). The schedule will be based on programming but with some weekends and evenings required on occasion.
Salary: Approximately$30.00/hr* based on experience
Start date: NOVEMBER 2nd, 2026; initial 3-4 weeks paid training provided.
