NATURE AND SCOPE

Under the supervision of the Director, Student Affairs and in close collaboration with all members of the team and other departments of the College, the Student Life Animator is responsible for enriching the quality of student life through ensuring the provision of extra-curricular activities and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in the preparation and implementation of programs and activities designed to facilitate the developmental needs of the student population of the College
  • Participates, guides and coaches students in the choice, scheduling and evaluation of activities and programs
  • Publicizes the information necessary to promote student activities and programs through various media on campus
  • Assists student groups in the coordination of their own animation projects
  • Acts as a resource for clubs organizing high school tournaments, conferences and student trips
  • Assists students seeking volunteering opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma of college studies (DEC) in recreation and leisure or in a related field of studies
  • Experience in Student Affairs and/or Student Life Animation
  • Experience at the college level is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills in English and working proficiency in French
